Bose questions
I cannot seam to find this anywhere, so I hope this is the right place to post. I have a 2001 Infiniti-I-30 with a Bose CD. I assume it is the same as the 2001 Maxima. I have three questions: 1) What is the best (not too expensive)way to put in a CD changer? I checked at Circuit City and they said something about because it is a Bose they cannot just put in a changer, even in the trunk. I called an Infiniti Dealer and they want over $600.00 to install a changer in the trunk (sounds like highway robery to me). 2) Can an in-dash 6-disk Bose CD changer from a 2002/2003 Maxima/Infiniti be changed out with the 2001 single disk? 3) Has anyone had the Bose system taken out and some other brand with an in-dash 6-disk player put in and if so, what would that cost?
Thanks for your help,
Jim

I took a look at this page...check this out:
http://carstereohelp.com/nissanBoseMax.htm
Right at the top is the '00-'02 Maxima and on the right column is the following:
"Rear shelf rattle or buzz associated with subwoofer? Your local dealership sells a Rattle and Buzz repair kit."
Anyone heard of this?
I would certainly want to check this out before I dropped several hundred $$ on an Infinity Basslink install (trunk space more important than big sound).

its a Clarion unit. you should be able to pick one up for under $200, then you need an adapter you can get from PIE
Bose Questions Answered
Thanks everyone for all the help. Found a car stero place today that agreed to get the adapter and install for $404.00 out-the-door, including everything, tax etc.
Thanks again,
Jim
