2002 or 2k-2k1 + boost ?

I'm in a dilemma. Buy a 2002 se 6spd, or go for a 2000-2001 and get a supercharger to compliment it? (or a turbo) Both have advantages and disadvantages and i just cant decide.

Do the vortech's work on 2000-2001s yet? (car wont be bought till Feb 2004, could be rdy by then)

2002- LSD(if i can find one used with it) more horsepower, 6spd tranny.

2000-2001 : money left to get blown, supercharger preferably (as i wont be able to afford a turbo). No LSD though, unless i find an AE.

What do you guys think?
I'm just confused as to what the best choice would be. I've always wanted boost, but the vq35 is just so nice

Looks like you've got most of the pro's and con's. If you like futzing around with your car go with the '00/'01 and if you want a warranty on a pretty good performer go with the '02/'03.

The vortech has been available in a kit from Stillen for the '00/'01 for some time now. Not sure why you think you wouldn't be able to afford a turbo...probably want to keep your eyes open.

I'm a bit confused as to why you are planning a automobile purchase which won't be made for over 14 months.

Stick with yours. Too many problems with 2k2+. Then you also get to blown on top of it.

He doesn't even have a Maxima yet. Your profile says you love 4th gens, so why not buy one of those and turbo it??

Personally, I would just buy the 2K2 6spd and be done with it.

buy a 2k2 - more horsepower right out of the box, and the chance to supercharge it later.

Kind of like a lottery ticket.

If you like tooling around with cars go SC. I can tell you from SCing my buddies Escalade(which I drive and store for him ) you will be under the hood left and right.
