Grille Tech Main Grille for 2K2-3 PICS !

I took some pics of the diamond cut main grille for a 2K2-3 on my car previously. Due to the fact that it's white, the inside parts which are also white were visible. It looked hideous.. I needed to try it on a darker vehicle, and used my brother's 2K2 GLE , Sterling mist. Here are the Pics... He is waiting for the bottom pieces to make it all match. Tell me what you guys think !

The stock chrome bars look MUCH better. That mesh grille makes the Maxima's front look even weirder.

My brother is with the lower pieces.. Yes the stock 2K2 grille is nice. We just like a change every now and then. You can actually easilly remove this grile , and re install the previous one... if you wanted to .... Im just keeping the lower pieces for now..

I agree with slickrick. The grill looks set back, maybe if you popped it out a little more it would look good. I think the grill would look great if you took off the front license plate and if it was on a hooked up car like emax's.

Looks strange, but I think putting an emblem on there would go a long way for the appearance.

That dog is way too cute...

The ONLY problem I have with it is that it is damn near FLAT. If it were contoured to the oem grille like the street scenes one I have, then it would look better.

Making it flat just makes it look tacky.

The truth.. I don't like the trenz grill. Thats just my opinion. I saw it on the street and yeah, it caught my attention, but I was like WTF is THAT!>?! I think the Grill Tech stands out and looks good. Both of the grills (trenz and Tech) are flat soo that doesnt really bother me. None of them really fit well. If you notice in this picture, the bottom of the grill doesnt really line up.. And that goes for both.

My vote goes for Grill Tech all the way.

I like the style of maxray's but I think that strip down the center is the ugliest thing i've ever seen. Some of the Altimas have that same grille and it looks ridiculous. If you had the same style, with the horizontal lines that Maxray has without that thing down the center, it would look sick IMO.

I'm going to buy black and silver grille and "dremel" out pieces to insert into the 02 stock grille, I saw someone photoshop the same idea a few months back on cardomain. Thats the way I personally wanted Grille-Tech do it in the first place. Outside of the Hid's, larger fogs, tail lights, I think the 02/03 grille is the major cosmetic difference between 00/01 and I dont't want to replace that. Just my .02 cents.

Sorry to bring this back up...but on the bright side it was from Search!

I saw those lower grille pieces on ebay, is there any other place I can get it from? I am kind of short on cash and really want it sooo bad. I think it would match the color of my car (sterling mist) and that would make it look nice.

I don't like that grille on your brothers car. There is a huge hole/gap where the grille is. Look like it's missing a nose. The stock grille is aggessive and flows with the rest of the car.

Polo's pics make the car look more classy but less aggressive in my opinion.

So Kloogy, you're going to the "diamond" style now? Does Grilletech plan to make a main grille in the "race" style? I'm asking b/c I've got the race lower valence grille.

I have the new diamond cut lower pieces on right now. I am not going with the main grille yet. My brother has both pieces on right now, and they look good. Besides ebay, you can go to www.Grille-tech.com and email chris on prices..

Checked their website, it's not showing the main grilles yet. So again, is Grille Tech gonna make a main grille in the "race" style?

Hey kloogy, I want to try and make my own home depot gutter screen lower ghetto grill. Do you know where I could get the "U-gasket" that goes around the metal as not to scratch your paint?

Oh, very cute doggie...but his "junk" is showing

Kloogy - we appreciatre it..

Kloogy,
I know it's been a long time waiting and working with Chris on this grille and we do appreciate you testing showing pics, getting opinions for Chris. I think he's finally got the fitment right, but I also think it's too set back. It would look better flush with some bubbling (i.e. not flat - keep with the rounding effect of the front end). I'd probably still try to mount the hamburger as well.
When I talked with Chris last, I mentioned to mult-piece idea between the stock grill and he said he'd look into it. I guess that did't go anywhere. Here was a photoshop I did for him back then. Also I already have the original type valences - I'd have to go with that versus the diamond grille.
