has anyone been able to repair cracked MAF housing?

i snapped two of the four little bolt-thru plastic tabs on my maf housing while pulling like hell to get it out, and i want to fix em since no one seems to be releasing a MAF integrated intake tube. any luck with this? i was thinking some jb weld would do it, but i don't know how well it would bond to plastic.

mine broke when i put in the PR CAI, i only found out it broke when i took the CAI out.

i used superglue, and it held fine. i'm pretty sute JB weld or some other epoxy should work fine also.

Firm Fabrications

I know that I've been posting a lot about this Co. There just doesn't seem to be much of a response from the org on these guys.
What do you think?

I haven't gotten an intake for my 2K2 yet and this one looked promising - with the integrated MAF. But you're right, I've searched and I haven't seen much of anything on it. Has anyone installed this intake?? If so, what do you think?

aaaaargh. i've been holding out for those guys to release a 2k-2k1 version since august. jeff at firm had a november release but then it seems they're too busy with 'custom' jobs to complete it.

the product itself looks beautiful. i'll end up fixing my maf housing then buy the firm intake when it comes out. for that matter, i'd buy a frankencar intake if they put out a single tube design. but both seem to have shelved the project.

as far as input on the existing 2k2 firm intake, i would think that it's identical to frankencar's with smoother tubing due to the lack of joints. quality doesn't even seem to be an issue with it.
one drawback tho. i've asked about a choice of filters, and no choice. it only ships with their own.

Two of my tabs broke off also while trying to install an intake. I ended up buying whole assembly with the MAF sensor. I found one at a junkyard. I didn't want to risk unfiltered air leaking through.

i had mine replaced when my MAF sensor went bad. they didn't give me any crap about it, but they did ask if i had a CAI installed before, i guess the hole in the fender well gave it away.
