Minimizing cost of HID theft - possible?
did some thinking the past week...
i don't know the limitations on the HID balasts, but wouldn't it be possible to hide the balasts someplace else in the car?...unless of couse that the ballast must remain in close proximity to the bulbs. there's nothing you can do to stop the thieves from ripping out the housing and taking the bulbs/housing...but by separating the HID components, thieves may eventually find it not worthwhile to steal our lights. they won't have all the pieces of the HID system.
if i could have it, balast will be hidden inside the cabin of the car and only wires are visible leading away from the housing.
possible?
btw...thanks for all the suggestions on my last post. I will be buying a full set of tires in January.
Cheers!
