The AE kit points forward more then it sits lower. The Stillin Lip is actually an addon to the factory bumper so its lower. I'ld say on a factory car it'll be about 6-7inch from road.

It's all an illusion, I think Y2KevSE has actuallly measured this. It is probably less than a 1/4" thich (the Stillen kit). The AE kit maybe a little thicker, but probably not by much.

I said it isn't that thick, so i'd say a 1/2" is pushing it. Or are you talking about how much more it sticks out (horizontally)

i think what he means by 'thickness' is a height measurement of the lip. ergo, the stillen lip would hang roughly 1/2" below the mounting point on the bumper. i certainly looks lower to me tho.

I personally like the stillen kit then the AE kit becuase it looks bigger. If you want compare the two kits just lower your car the same height as Y2Kevse's and look at the difference. Your car looks great with the AE kit, but I personally think it would look better with the stillen kit. It's just my opinion and it's your car.

i'm still not sure. how much of your ground clearance did the stillen front lip lower?

if you knew anything you'd know that the kit will sit no lower on the bumper; no matter what kit. There all still mount at the same place basically unless you do a full fascia replacement.

now, for how much lower to the ground they are and how much further they drop the car's overall stance, that would be an intelligent thing to ask.

here is something me and svttodamax(gabe) did today . . .we measured the height off the ground. our point of contact was the front of the car and in the center. gave has the jic coilovers on 10 setting and he was about 4 1/2 or 4 1/4 off inches off the ground and he has a 2k1 ae, and i was 5 1/4 off the ground and i have eibach/tokico and the stillen kit. . .he also has 18" and i'm on stock 16" se rims. . .if that helps any. . .

with the Stillen Touring front lip, the front of the car is just about as low as the stock..if not just little bit lower.
but the side towards the wheelwell is much lower than stock bumper..at least 2 inches if not little bit more. just think of it as the kit curving up towards the front.

Questions...

...does anyone know the answers to these?

1) How much for each of the 2 kits?
2) Does the AE kit fit on a 2k3?
3) Can you use mud guards with the side skirts on these 2 kits?

Thanks!

1. AE Kit is a bit more than the Stillen Aero Kit. You are looking at around $800 for the Aero and $1000 for the AE kit.
2. No.
3. No.

Yes the A.E. kit does use the color coded mud guards. When I bought my car they didn't have them on I looked at the sticker and they are listed so I told them and they put them on.

Greg's2kGLE was right, it is an optical illusion that the Stillen kit hangs lower. The kit sits right on the bumper and bulges out. If anything, there might be a 1/4 inch difference in height compared to having no kit at all.

Hope that helps, Albert
