You *could* get 2k/1 headlights with HID burners. While not as good as the stock kit, you would have HIDs, it would look good, and cops wouldnt be as prone to stop you as HID's are stock on the 2k2 max.

Unfortunately, your taillights and grill are a dead giveaway. I'm not sure these theives would be smart enough to know you've already swapped your lights. Its at night and they are in a hurry, they may not even look and just jack them anyway.

I *really* think a car cover might help more than anything. Out of sight, out of mind.

 

I'd be happy to trade my heads and tails for someone who wants to hide their 2k2+ max.

 

I wonder, do the theives know which models / years have the HIDs? I wonder if anyone without HIDs had gotten their lights stolen?

 

I'd be willing to bet that they know EXACTLY which cars have them and which don't. I think some of them go a step further and know how they are fitted on the Maxima, and how to work around the Maxima "security system" and how to get inside the car by rolling down the windows from the outside by using the door handle....etc etc. As far as I know, nobody with regular 2001 or older lights have had them stolen. These a$$holes know what they are doing (unfortunately... )
