Put the Spoiler on - -

Well I finally got around to doing it; the spoiler I got from Spoilerdepot.com went on today. Actually I’ve put it off for almost 2 weeks, trying to gather all the info about installation from the .org that I could find. The total install took just 3 hours including time to prime and paint the holes in the trunk lid and let them dry. The electrical hook up was a snap since the trunk lid of my 2K GLE was pre wired for a spoiler. After everything was done I took the bulb out of the third brake light on the back deck and everything works just fine. The spoiler was OEM look alike, fiberglass, and painted. Color was an exact match. Workmanship was outstanding. Total costs - $215.00 and three hours of my time. Boy does the rear end look great now. No pictures available as my photo capability hasn’t gone digital yet.

Actually it was pretty easy. The kit came with everything needed. (set screws to mark hole locations, gasket material, mounting screws, and complete instruction). All I used was a phillips screwdriver and a 1/4" drill bit with a cordless drill and some silicone to seal the holes, although the kit comes with gasket material. I used the silicone for a extra bit of leakage protection. If you align the spoiler just right on the lid all the holes are drilled only where the trunk lid is single sheet.
