Labor hours for clutch replacement
My dealer is stating 8 hours labor to replace the clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing, and flywheel. Does this sound accurate? 44K miles on my 2000, I can't believe I need a !#@$ clutch already....this is the flagship? Yeah, I'm peeved....

That's what their labor book probably says. If I had access to their lifts and special tranny jacks(or even without), I could probably do this in about 6 hours.
What's happening is they will charge you the "book" rate and time. But since the tech has probaly done this already about 10 times on other maximas, he could probably accomplish it alot sooner. So they will charge you for 8 but do it in 6 or less. Put two guys on the job and it does down to 4 hours or less.
