Weird Problem Today

I dont know if this is normal. But My max for the first time ever died on me It was doing so well. But I dont know if it was a err on my part or what. Here is what I did. I was in reverse backing out slighly fast. Well I put the car in drive while its still going backwards. and the car just dies. I have done this many times before and its never died. Just a freak foul up or what????

Give us some more info.. do you drive a auto or mannie.. mannie-well, could use some more lessons with the clutch management...
Actually, my auto died on me once too for unexplained reason. It just stalled and I had to restart it. Oh well, flukes happen

but everything seems to be fine now? ive always been told that putting the car in drive while you still have some backward momentum is bad for the tranny but im not sure why the car would die. seems like it was a freak foul up as you put it.
