Hi Maxima Owners!! I just bought a brand new 2003 SE Automatic, and I notice that when I step on the gas (not at all hard) there is this whiny high-pitched sound that goes along with the engine sound (ah, the good old Nissan bassy sound). I was wondering if this is normal.

Also, with the sports tune suspension and all, when I turn and accelerate, or turn fast, I noticed (hard to describe) some kind of "bubbly" noise coming from the suspension.

Are all these because the car is so new or should I be worried?

Anyway, anyone know the return policy for new cars? (not that I'm even thinking about returning it)

the whinny noise is from the air box, since ur car is brand new, it is absolutely normal.

about the suspension, lots of us get clunking noise from the right front strut, and nissan is now taking care of it now so bring ur car back to them and tell them the problem, mostly, they will find out the problem and fix it under warrenty.
