H&R/Tokico Impressions

After driving around for several hundred miles with this new setup my impressions have changed. At first I thought that the setup was very soft and that I lost a lot of handling, coming off of Eibachs. Now the springs seem to have settled and the ride feels nice and stiff, yet comfortable (does not feel stock to me any more). I have regained all of the handling which I thought I lost. I'm very satisfied with the setup.

Why did you change from Eibachs to HR springs?

ON the page on of cardomain, click on the pic so it comes into another window as a full pic and then do the link. They may be too big, let me try. Ok this worked from my cardomain site, so it will work for you

I too want to get Tokicos, however I have been reading that people are having bad experiences with them. I know it is a matter of opinion, but I saw a lot of treads about the Tok's blowing and also some say the ride is not good at all, which is all opinion. Can someone shead some light on this. I was planning to getting these, but I also thought I might wait for the new KYB's.

I've had mine for 4 months and absolutely love this combination. It handles well, while giving a nice ride that isn't too harsh.

I have this setup, too. Of course it COULD stand to drop a little lower, but I spend my time behind the wheel, not looking at the wheel gaps. The car HANDLES so much better with this setup. I want to take a ride in a stock Maxima so that I can remember what it really used to feel like (Cutlr7).

Which Tokico's are you running? The blues or the adjustables? Where there any modifications needed like the AGX's require? Thanks.

Where is the best place to get these right now? I dont want to deal with the modifications with the AGX's, even tho I had them on my 97 and I loved them.

I went to shox.com and they matched Adventon's price and shox.com was cheaper in shipping.

Did you mention you were from Maxima.org? They used to give a discount for us. I am not sure if they still do.
