Python Responer Alarm.
Python Responer Alarm.
Local shop says it's the same thing as the Viper Responder, only difference is the label. Is this true? Also he said it'd be around $600 installed, and maybe able to throw in remote window control. Is this a steep price or good deal?

yeah, it's basically the same thing as it uses the same brain, but different remote control, I think. For pricing, it's a little steep but it all depends on where you live. If you live near NJ, contact Pearl96Max a.k.a Don. He installs alarm systems and audio and is very popular with .org members. The remote window control module is around $100 for every window, IIRC.

I would get the viper 550 ESP if I were you. Life time warranty quarter mile range
Here is what I got viper 550 ESP with added voice module and perimeter sensor
This thing is way cool if you walk up to my car [2002 max] a voice will tell you to stand back protected by viper.that is the perimeter sensor and voice module in action. The windows can not be opened by the wire in the door when armed
The remote start is great also.
529.00 installed including tax. long island NY
I do not think the warranty is the same or the range get the viper 550ESP

On another note ALL Viper products carry a Lifetime warranty and the range on the Responders is a great deal more than the 550.
O BTW I would have charged $430 installed for your 550 with modules.

I had the job done in my home Town .this way if I need warranty service they are close by. Same people who did my jeep
The range on the 550 ESP is quarter mile. This more them meets my needs
About the python & responder ,I do stand corrected. They do seem the same. The only thing I did not like was having only one remote. The remote looks a little to fragile for me. The kind work I do I might end up breaking the remote These systems ,I think are made by the same company

Thanks for info

Don,
You mean you can use non-responder remotes like the one for 550 ESP and make it work with the 790vx brain? Wooow, this is something I just knew....
Anyway, for all alarm systems, just ask Don to install it for you. I haven't been dealing business with him, personally, but I have heard numerous stories from satisfied customers. He also answers any questions I throw at him within days.
