Cold weather-car stalling

I have gone to Nissan 3x to get my fuel system re-mapped done on my 2000 Maxima. It starts and idles and then dies out. Then I let it warm up and it then it ok, but at times when I am stopped it feels like my car is lunging forward and backward. Anyone else have these problems? Is this a mapping problem? At times it seems I am driving a old clunker.

Just a thought, but have you had your coils checked-out? Also, how many miles are on it?

Coils have been replaced once, and it has 60,000 miles on it

I take it you have also checked out the condition of the plugs, cleaned the injectors, etc.?

What quality/octane of gasoline are you using?

It could also be your MAF (Mass Air Flow) going bad. It shouldn't happen on a car as young as yours but the symptoms sound right.
