Anyone think about painting the sunroof deflector?

I have read threads about people wanting to take the sunroof deflector/visor off. Some have and said that it left an outline on the paint and can't get rid of it. Some say it's ugly, but how would it look if you painted it body color? (Black cars really don't have to worry about it because it blends in).

I don't know how to do that.
Maybe someone can try on either one of these pics. Sorry if they aren't the best angle, it's all I have right now.

You really cant do much with those pics. If I photoshop it would wont notice it as well or to the point where it will look like what it does in real life.

Need more shots. Closer shots.

I have a Black car and looked at a few and 4-5people have said that it looks better without a sunroof deflector. I think it does as well.

For some reason I think I have an extra sunroof defelctor. I don't even know if it's for my car or what, I might try and paint that and see what happens, if I have nothing to do one day.

Ever notice the wind deflector on the top of a tractor trailer? Ya it would look something like that, just smaller.

I can't really picture it in my head, but I think I know what you are talking about. Does it look good to you?

I like the deflector. I just don't have a sunroof. The car I rented (02 maxima) in AZ/CA didn't have one....

I would be interested in seeing the PS'ed pics too. I like the functionality of the deflector, but it does stand out too much on my Glacier Pearl...

I took mine off a couple weeks ago because a buddy of mine showed me the rust he has on his paint where build up of crap occured.

Mine is black and while I haven't tried to fix the paint .. it does leave your paint in a terrible condition. I'd just remove it.
