Re: STOLEN HID's on ebay AGAIN!
This is being discussed on this forum here: Another set of stolen HIDs on ebay
The reason he has a reserve price is so people can bid and he can keep the buy it now price...It is a tactic many, many sellers are using now. I look at auctions 10 hours a day, 5 days a week...I am the .org authority on eBay auctions

Is there a way to do this repetively?

"Your honor, this gentleman would not buy my stolen HIDs!"

Should we be sending an e-mail to e-bay? I know that they have stopped the sale of other items before, if they get enough complaints would this be any different?

Start a BS account with BS information. That is all.

Right try telling that to the dead beats that balk on my auctions ALL the time. The best you can do is get ebay to send them a warning, after three warnings there account is deleted. There is nothing you can do to make someone pay for an auction they won.

Another thing for you to remember is that the seller can simply block you from bidding on his item, and then report you to eBay. If you continue to bid, you will be suspended and the rest of your accounts will be suspended as well.
Just food for thought

Ask him for the receipts, I would be interested to see if he is legit. Then again, I can make receipts all day long in Quickbooks...really helps when you want to get work done out of warantee.

And if they tie the BS account to your other accounts, all of your accounts will be indefinietely suspended...I deal with this all day long.

I see what you mean. I had seen so many "buy it now" with reserves attached, I assumed it was the norm. So, I guess by design the "buy it now" should disappear once the first bid is placed. Vely Intelesting!

it seems that the user "kimblueangel" really wants those stolen HIDs. I email him/her informing the high likehood these are stolen and asking to retract but seems to keep on bidding. I have an idea! Why not create that BS account to a legit e-mail and do the buy it now. Then demand proof these are not stolen and then leave a negative feedback "selling stolen headlights". This way we send him through the trouble to setting himself again/creating enough feedbacks to sell. Or at least, people would know or have an idea. What do you guys think?
I sent him an e-mail askin nicely for proof of purchase and how the tabs were broken. this was the response I got.
Thanks for the email,
If you are really interested in buying them, these lights came from damaged cars in junk yards. I will provide you with a reciept if you are buying these lights, and if your just being curious of where i got them. please dont.

Nothing is going to stop the HID's from being stolen. Our body shop got 2 more in just this week alone. We are now averageing over 2 cars/week at the shop for HID theft.
Great for business, bad for Nissan owners.

There's a drivers side HID being sold on ebay from a seller called coolmomo or something. This person has been trying to sell it for some time now. This is the third attempt I've seen at this person selling this. Each time, not a single person bid on it. The price is good, but does anyone have opinions on this person? I need a drivers side HID to fix my car.
Here's the link HID

These suggestions for dealing with the ebay poster are only a temporary measure. He will find another way to re-list or sell the merchandise on the streets. We need to be smarter but putting them behind bars. Only way is to match the S/N to a VIN. Please read my replies to the other thread and contribute.

"None of my items are stolen.. I pay for everything I get...Yes I can prove that I paid for it ... and I would rather not say what dealer I got it from
thanks for asking"
I responded back asking how she can prove purchase and asked questions like: Why are you selling? Do you have a max? etc.
I'm just wondering why she doesn't want to say what dealer.
