OT: Dynamat

Hey everybody,

I have a 2K2 SE. I have replaced the "BLOSE" system with a real one. It sounds great. I have 2 IDQ 12s in the rear and crystal mobilesound components up front. I think the installer left the factory ones hooked up in the rear (should i disconnect those?). I'm gonna be getting around $130 from my parents cause I went 1/2 on my moms Christmas present with my dad. So anyway, here's the deal. The system sounds good, but there is a lot of rattles coming from all over the car, esp when the bass goes up. Is $130 gonna be enough to have somebody do a good dynamat job?

Thanks!

Very likely not. Check out their site for list prices (not including installation) and decide on which areas of the car bother you the most...

If that's the case, then what would you guys recommend as the best upgrade for the car for something in that price range ($130)? Other than the system, the car is totally stock. Any suggestions you may have will be greatly appreciated.

THANKS!

I think some people on this board have brought in their cars to the dealer for the BOSE rattles, and the dealers used dynomat to resolve (or at least try) the rattle issue.

See if your dealership is going to use dynomat for this service, in which case, you don't have to buy it yourself.

Ok, cool. I thought of that right before I read your post. Will the cost of that include both parts and labor?

You can get one for right about that shipped to you. If you already have a torque wrench and can get under your car, the labor is free.

Not sure what a third party would charge to put one in.
