AE Body Kit on 2K3 Max Help???

I am aware that the front lip of the AE (Anniversary Edition) body kit does not fit the 2k3 because of the extral "lobe" of the fogs. Does anyone know if it is possible to modify the AE kit to fit? Has anyone done this? If so can you provide some input?

I would like to know too. I love that kit, but was told it won't fit on my 2k3.

Can you tell me what pricing you got for it? DaveB never replyed to my e-mail.

I ordered the aero kit and will be doing the same thing to the front lip as Ethan did. I spoke with him on several occassions and he basically said that you just have to look at his pics, look at what you gotta do and you can figure it out. He did tell me that you need a dremel to cut out some pieces and one interesting thing he said was that you have to stretch the kit because the bumpers on the 2k2 model is two inches wider.

I should be getting in the kit today or Monday and once my friend starts to work on it, I will try and post pics or do a write up. It probably won't happen for at least a week or two though.

Honestly, it doesn't look that hard. Just take it to a body shop and I'm sure anyone could do it as long as they're competant.

Good luck!!

Not a prob. I just remembered that someone posted a thread saying that they spoke to Stillen and Stillen said that they will be coming out with an aero kit for the 2k2-2k3 models. Don't know when though.

Just wanted to let you know. Maybe you can call Stillen and find out for yourself and let the rest of us know. If it's better looking than the one I'm gonna have, I'll buy that one later.

Yeah, I think this is Stillen's normal routine.

There's a GB on the parts section. I can't remember the price, but it's as good as it gets. Something like $725 shipped. It's from Southwest Autoworks.

The AE kit will not fit on the 2k2-2k3 because the kit is not malleable like the urethane Stillen ones. The AE kit is ABS plastic.

Thanks for shedding some light on this!

Now can we keep the focused on the topic, rather than making it a Stillen manufacturing question
Thanks!!

So does anyone know how much modification needs to be done to get the AE kit to fit a 2k3?

I might have to do a trial and error!!!

Well as someone above said it cant be done because the kit isnt flexible like the Stillen. If I were you I'd get the Stillen kit and make that one fit like emax95 did.

I will be doing the same thing Ethan did and I will try and document it. The body shop will be doing it so I'm not sure if I can take pics step by step.

Does Stealin, make an AE kit? I thought that their kits were the Touring and the Aero?

People ask me all the time "how I did I do it exactly". Well you have to realise I can't just say cut here and here and do this and that.. It's diffucult to say where to do something when such a large area was modified.

Let's just say it took a total of about 25 minutes using a table saw and a dremel.

Finished product

But did you have to heat up the STEALIN kit and stretch it?

Were any modifications needed for the sideskirts or rear bumper?
