Michelin Pilot Sport A/S P235/50/17

What's up to all of you wonderful Maxima owners. I live in Little Rock, AR and I own a 2001 SE AE 5 sp, all stock for the moment. My significant other owns a 2001 GXE auto. My first was a 1987 SE and I had a 1990 GXE after that. To say I love 'em is a big understatement. I put 46k on the "slips and slides". eek: To the rest of the world, they are known as Potenza RE92. I must have been out of my mind! Anyway, I just joined the MPS A/S 235/50/17 "family". Can you tell me how many pounds of air pressure you've been running on the stock 17X7 wheels?

I believe it's something like 33 psi in the summer and 29 in the winter. I might be wrong, so try searching for other threads.

where did you get the Pilots? did they give you a resonable deal?

If you see a 2k Sterling Mist with 2k2 HIDs and tails on Cantrell or Chenal, be sure to give me plenty of room, I still have RE92s!!!

I've yet to find a tire shop in LR or NLR that wont scratch my rims (past cars).

I got them from Sam's Wholesale Club. They will have to be ordered. It took 4 days to get them in. The 225's are $207 and the 235's are $213. Mounting, balancing, road hazard and tax brought the total to $925. Sears wanted $1090. We will just have to drop the money to have great tires. I looked at the Sumi HTR+ and the new Kumho KH11. It came down to this. I will not buy RE92's again, even for the miles I got out of them. HTR+ are, to me, out fo spec. The KH11's aren't proven yet. Also, the KH11's are patterned from the Michelin Primacy, which did not get good reviews on tirerack.com. But, I assure you the A/S's are the great tires people say they are.
