Questions about 2000 Maxima
Welcome.
I also have a 2K maxima. A rear sway bar (RSB) will reduce body roll a lot. As you may know, when you go around turns, the big ol' 5th gen likes to lean. The RSB will reduce this rolling. For about $130, it is a great mod and it's easy to do. In my opinion, a RSB is the best bang for the buck. Another 'newbie' mod is an intake; do a search to decide what intakes are available. They are all more or less the same. The idea behind an intake is to allow more air to flow into the engine (faster) by removing the stock air box. Good luck and have fun.
BTW Nice handle Donnie. I love that movie.

Front strut bar(FSB) is the cheapest and most noticable mod under spirited cornering and less than $70. Really easy to install (my 9 yr old daughter could install)
and then I would go for the rear sway bar less than $120 and well worth it.
After that intake...I am partial to cold air intake (CAI)

It depends on what type of mod you are looking for. Suspension, appearance, accelaration....
I will tell you that I am not a believer in intakes for our model year. I have a K&N drop in filter and it serves its purpose. The mod list is very long for the 2k-2k1 cars so you should have plenty of choices and variety.
Happy Modding
