Fog lights

Does anyone know if there is some sort of protector I can put on my fog lights. Both have cracked and cost almost $200/light to fix. I imagine this will be a recurrent event since the lights are low and susceptible to rocks, etc breaking the glass. Respond if you have any ideas. Thanks.

There is a 3M protective film that you can get to put over it. It is an accessory of the "clear bra" I think. Depending on what hits them though, the film might not do a lot of good. What is breaking them? Do you know?

Re: Re: Fog lights

no idea, just noticed it. I bought the car about 3 weeks ago and noticed the cracks a week later. I'm thinking rocks or debri from the highway. Anyway, do you know where I can find the clear covering you mentioned? thanks

I just washed mine today and noticed the right fog light was cracked, looks like from a rock.

I wonder if this is a problem with this model. It seems like this would be an easy thing to happen since the lights are so low to the ground. Bummer

I have had my car two years now and have not had that problem. What kind of protective cover did you have in mind? You dont mean the cage like ones, do ya? The film probably be much protection if rocks are your problem. Sounds like a possible road hazard!

I don't know what kind of protector I could use...I honestly have no idea. I just thought there would be something on the market. By the way, this is my first time on this website and I don't understand a thing people are writing...too technical for me, so if you do have an answer please SPELL IT OUT for me. If you know where I can get something to cover up those lights let me know. Thanks.

clear bra

If rock are your problem, this prolly wouldnt do much. The best advice I have for you is be careful what you are driving around. ie watch out for gravel trucks, etc.
