Ok I am finally dynoing this saturday. Got a hookup 3 pulls for $20 w/ a/f. I am going to do one with the stock filter and 2 without it to see the power I was making at the track. My next dyno will be after the stillen headers are available, and I get a test pipe and hks rear section. I will post my results sometime sat or sun.

Well, the Y pipe is on and I have a few comments. The SES light is much dimmer now than before, but it's still present. My FrankenCar intake sounded horrible at about 5700-5800 rpms and now it sounds incredible all the way to redline. The car pulls much harder. Although I don't get any banging while driving around even on rough pavement, I do get some banging on hard acceleration from a stop. What's causing this? I can't wait for the correct B pipe to get here and to get the TSB done for the hesitation.

Virus, I have the B-pipe with a custom pipe to muffler and I have put spacers on all the braces under the car and I shook the exhuast system as hard as I could and there was no knocking. HOWEVER, from a dead stop if I try to launch the car the knocking is definitely there. I though it might be the intake manifold banging against the FSTB but I grinded down the manifold about as much as I could and I still get the knocking. If you can figure out where its coming from....please let me know!

I know it's the exhaust and more than likely the Y. I feel it knocking on the bottom of the car. It does have me puzzled as the why. I specifically drove over very bumpy roads and I heard absolutely nothing from the Y. The only time I hear it is when I launch hard.

I have the knocking too, in reverse and when you gas it in 1st and 2nd gear. I'm getting used to the sound, but the vibratio and knocking is getting to me.

Haven't heard back from Warpspeed in over a month after contacting them about the problems!!

I know Dallas is busy working on the problem. I've spoken to him via email and Diane(?) over the phone, and he's been quite busy. I've also got him working on my B-pipe fitment problems right now.. it's about 2" too short.. I'm sure you've heard it before, but be patient with them.. not a big crew, and they've got a lot going on lately..

oh, and I know the two support braces below are important, but I've noticed no problems with the seats or whatever after removing mine, and no more clunking either..

Matt,

Did you get the B-pipe with the resonator?

Is the new set-up any louder than stock and if so please explain.

Jack

i put my y and b on today... The problem is with the brackets which are unnecessary. Mount the pipes and don't use the stock brackets, which don't do much anyways... The y pipe wasn't made at the correct angle and can either be bent properly, or do what i said. The y and b sound great and add alot of ooomph.

They never attempted to reply to me in over a month. I'm in the dark at this point. I may email them again or give them a call if I have time soon. This is ridiculous.

Like I said I only have the WarpSpeed B-pipe and still have my stock Y-pipe so its probably not y-pipe related....

Has anyone had problems with the B pipe banging as well and if so, how did you fix it? I have to take my car over to the shop in an hour.

Ok, funny thing here. Since Dallas sent the wrong B pipe, I had the opportunity to ride around with the Y pipe installed for a few weeks. I noticed an immediate improvement with just the Y pipe. The B pipe is on and there are no leaks that I can feel or here. The car seems slower now. Is it because I need to let the ECU adjust, the B pipe is the problem or is it the Y and B combo? Like I said, I noticed an immediate improvement with just the Y installed with the stock B.

P.S. Thanks to everyone here. I took the two braces off the car and I now don't have any banging. I thought both braces were black? I had one black and one gray.

i've always felt that some air restriction is good. perhaps you're flowing too much?
having a talk with some friend, we all felt that 2.25 would be a better b-pipe. the 2.5 and up would be for those that have more than just an intake, etc....

correct me if i don't make sense....i think i do though.

At least someone has noticed improvements from the Y-pipe. Mine (and B-pipe with resonator) are still waiting patiently in their box for the ECU TSB repair....

I got the Y installed, then the ECU upgrade then the B pipe today. I may have seen much better gains after the ECU upgrade because it was still learning the Y pipe, but I did notice better butt dyno gains after the Y was installed than the B. I expected the opposite to be true.

I'm just going to keep my mouth shut until I drive the car for a while. It seemed to be stronger after the ride home.
