Re: What happens after 3 years?
I sent this question to Zaino:
> Is there any problem using Zaino polish long-term as
> a substitute for commericial wax-based products?
And here's what Sal Zaino had to say: (I'm cutting and
pasting from his response.)
...it's funny that most people that slam Zaino are
still formulating and working with stone age wax technology... Synthetic Polymer technology is the
future in the car care industry, just wait and see...!!!!
Did you know that all the major wax manufacturers are making polymer based wax and polish systems...
Meguiars........ Gold Class is a polymer based protectant.
Meguiars........ Medallion is another polymer based
protectant.
Turtle Wax..... Emerald is a polymer based protectant.
Just to name a few.... And I can go on and on....
Also did you know that automotive paint is a polymeric system? :-)
Zaino Show Car Polish has performed flawlessly on
everything from exotic cars and expensive paint jobs to
the current factory paint technology. It has been
around for over 20 years! I just don't advertise. I am
word of mouth.
I have been a custom painter for over thirty years. I definitely feel I know what's good and bad for
paint finishes. Show Car Polish is a synthetic based
polish system that uses the finest and most expensive
ingredients available.
FWIW, I don't think we have to worry about our paint
sliding off after 3 years of using Zaino. ;-)

Ditto. That dude just threw that factoid out there and
didn't bother to come back and substantiate it.
I just sent an email to Zaino. Let's see what they have to say. They seem to be straight shooters - I don't think
they would intentionally mislead us if their products
aren't intended for long-term use.
I'll post the response here.
