Hey All, I am a newbie and would appreciate help.
Planning to install the Stillen S/C in my 2001 Anniversary SE. What exhaust configuration would be good? I would like to keep it looking as stock as possible, so would like to keep the stock muffler. Pros and Cons? I have decided on the Cattman Y-pipe, but need advise on a high-flow cat and the B-pipe. Thanks in advance guys!!!

Well the sky's the limit at this point. I'd recommend you go with a Cattman Y-pipe, an RT Cat (I'm working with RT right now to get them to certify their Cat for use with 5th Gen Maximas), and a 3" Custom Catback. Then get a 3.25" pulley to boost the output of your SC and have some fun . . . while it lasts!

I've heard b-pipe gains are very very minimal. If you wanna keep the stock exhaust I'd say just swap the y-pipe and cat and you should be good to go.

I think that's true for normally-aspirated engines, punkdork, but I'm not sure if it's the case with forced induction. Let's see if somebody with a SC responds.

Believe me, I'll put up a post about the cat as soon as I receive word from RT.

Have fun modding your Max, SFMax20SE !!!

I have a 2K auto max with the Stillen supercharger and I too wanted to keep my exhaust looking as stock as possible. I just got the Cattman SS y-pipe installed today and have the stock cat, b-pipe, and muffler. It is totally awesome and there is almost NO increase in interior noise level. My exhaust note has a deeper more throaty sound which is very nice but not obnoxious. My mechanic was VERY impressed with the quality of the Cattman SS y-pipe and it was very easy to install. (took only 1/2 hour) There is no "bees in a can" sound with this y-pipe since Cattman uses the new quiet flex joint. My car runs great now and pulls like a bad boy. I've heard that the horsepower gains with a RT cat and a b-pipe are minimal and thus I opted not to do this mod. However, my mechanic is planning to custom fabricate new 2.5" piping from the cat all the way back to the muffler. I wanted to keep my stock muffler because I really want to maintain my "SLEEPER" car look. You will be very please with the Cattman Y-pipe. Good luck.

Thanks DMan_2KMax!
I sound like you got a pretty solid setup there?
If you don't mind me asking, have you taken monster to the track? What are your numbers?
How long have you had the S/C?
Have you have any problems?

I haven't taken her to the track yet but plan to do so in the next couple of months. I had the S/Cer installed back in May and yes I did have my share of problems at first but they have since been resolved. The main problem was with the original poorly designed tensioner pulley, but Stillen has since sent me a new pulley with better bearings in it. Its been running great ever since my shop installed the new pulley.
