okay long story short i got nailed by something today and it cracked my windshield.

local shops say i can use 2k2 glass and there prices are resonable.

one shop said i'd have to get the windshield from nissan cause there is a sensor for the compas on the glass, dealer price is disgusting.

anyone got a tech manual or has taken apart there rear view mirror, i just need to find out if there is anything special on the 2k3 windshield. I don't want cough up a lot of cash so i don't lose my compas.

insurance is usless in this case cause my decutable is up there.

 

The only sensor I know of for the RV mirror is for the temp and it's in front of the radiator. (lower center) everything else is housed in the mirror itself. I know the radio antenna is in the WS but other that that

I put a mirror with temp/compass in my 02 all I had to run was the temp sens wiring. It even hooked up to the same anchor on the WS no gluing or anything. Go for the 02 WS and save the cash.
