I'm not 100% sure, but I think the SP muffler sits at an angle while the evo is straight out the back. Anyone correct me if im wrong.

I have the greddy sp on my 2000 maxima. It is supposed to go on 4th gens not 5th gens but it sounds a lot better then the evo in my opinion. Any muffler shop can make it fit. The sp is much deeper. I think the evo looks better on cars w/ a kit b/c the canister is really big. If u don't have a kit, the canister will look weird in my opinion. I believe that neither system goes on w/out minor alterations. The evo needs an o2 sensor welded on and the sp needs about 3 more inces of piping. I hope this helps.

you won't need to worry about the O2 sensor on the greddy evo for the 5th gen, the sp comes in either the 5 in or the 6 inch opening, the tip has a funnel appearance because it gets smaller from the tip to where it welds to the can. the evo has a tip that is offset from center, it looks good with a kit, and i agree the can is visible from the sideshot.
