our hwy gas mileage sucks because of our 5th gear dammit. You are driving 80 mph at 32000 rpm but the good thing about it is, if someone wants to play, you are right there in the powerband, just stomp it!

I get about 28-30 on mine. On a full tank, I usually go about 390-450 on 14 14.5 gallons. I have gone as far as 500Miles on 16 gallons.

Contrary to what seems to be popular opinion

here, I think 5th on our cars is spot-on; if it were any taller we would have to downshift to get any reasonable acceleration 'cause we dont have the torque of the 3.5 liter engines.

5th is overgeared as it is because the car will not pull to redline in 5th which would be something in the range of 168 mph...if we dont have the torque to pull well on a taller gear, why does anyone want anything taller?

And I get between 28 and 30 but then again, highway driving here in the NW is pretty slow

Got 23 mpg on my last tank, but it was mixed driving and the last ten days have been pretty damn cold around here. The last full highway trip was around 22 mpg averaging about 70 mph, but trying to go 80-85mph (too many left lane hogs slowing me down). I do believe I could get 24-25 if I were to:

Keep it at 75 mph (too damn hard to go that slow), and
Not encounter too many Buicks or trucks on the left lane.
On a trip to Florida, I averaged around 26mpg. On one run in Georgia I saw 28mpg. And we weren't ******* it. Sweet.
