you know the drill, send a PM to Ice or BigDog, they will want you to have some sort of proof of purchase.

My buddy has a 2k3 and wants to swap for my 2k1 lens since he is so afraid of them getting stolen. What proof can I provide by doing this? If you read my previous post, I already have HID's on my car. I just want the lens and rewire everything so I can use the high beams too. If this is a problem with anyone, then no sweat because I understand the matter.

thanks again,
Titot

again, you have to convince Ice or BigDog, not me. I'm not sure what they'll want. Ask them.

Sorry pal. You know the story with HID's. No how-tos ... nothing personal.

How about the reverse... would anyone like to share a how-to related to swapping from 2k2 lights to 2k1?

One more theft for me, and I'm cashing in my hand.

Hi Guys,
Please excuse my ignorance, this is my first posting so if I am out of line in any way please let me know, anyway I am a new owner of a 2k pearl Max that I definitly intend to upgrade to HID's as much for safety as for looks (I live in deer country). I am certainly sensitive to the theft issue (RAPE) but would like to know if you can clear up my confusion. If I was to buy a set of these I understand there is a wiring harness available to install in my 2k. Will this give me full funtionality or is there more to it than that? Also any suggestions on best place to buy? Courtesy is at roughly $1250. Thanks in advance for any help on protocol, sure is a touchy subject from a "new guys" perspective. Am glad I live in far away Wa State.

In the timeless words of TimW, I quote "you know the drill, send a PM to Ice or BigDog, they will want you to have some sort of proof of purchase."
They can provide you with a complete how to guide.

You actually cut off the 2k plug and splice in the 2k2 plugs.

The 2k has high and low beam on the same connector, whereas the 2k2 is separate. And while very simple to actually wire, knowing what to do is tricky and you'd want the writeups. If you just went and tried to figure it out on your own (without also buying a FSM), probably your high/low beams would be kinda freaked out

Thanks for the info. Any suggestions on best "legal" pricing? When I purchase I'll follow protocol and PM for the how to.
