O2 sensor question
I have 2 plugs in front of my engine. I got under the car and i spotted 3 o2 sensors. Is my car a cali spec or fed? Because when i bought the car on the description sheet where it lists all the features it said cali emmission rescri euip. What soes that mean?

You most likely have a cali-spec car. You can check under your hood for a white sticker and if it says anything about California emissions, you have a cal-spec. Also depends on your car year....All 2k1s are cali-spec.

thanks i calle dthe dealership and asked them to look up my vin and they said fed spec, YES! but the im still not really convinced because on the the sheet it said cali eupiqed. I took a look under the car and it looks like there is no precat so it must be fed. Im going to buy a y pipe from budget that is why i was so concerned. It can't wait to order it. I just put a frankencar on and it sounds sweet!

If you only have three O2 sensors, then you are definitely a Federal spec. The easiest ways to tell are:
1) Number of colored harnesses infront of your front-side exhaust manifold. (3 = Cali, 2 = Fed).
2) Cali model has HUGE precat attached to front-side exhaust manifold, Fed does not.
3) Fed spec has an O2 sensor after the main cat, Cali does not. Cali model has an O2 sensor after each precat instead of after the main cat.
If you want to see pics of a Cali spec to compare against, check out my site.
