2000se Power Outlet not working...

Sorry if I ask too many questions, but since I do not smoke I had no reason to check the power-outlet, I do not have a cigarette lighter. I tried to plug a portable air pump into the power outlet and it did not work. I checked the cigarette lighter fuse (15 amps) and saw that it was blown, I replaced the fuse and again the fuse was blown. I checked the pump by using it on another car with a cigarette lighter outlet and the pump worked fine! By the way I did notice that there is another 15 amp fuse that is labled "power outlet" but that fuse is fine. The car is going back to the dealer when my parts for the TSB transmission are in stock.

I have a 2000 SE as well and the ignition has to be turned to the "on" position for the DC outlets to get power.

If you're fuse keeps blowing, something must be shorting it out. Have you tapped into this power for anything, like a radar detector? Have you replaced you're radio? Maybe while putting the dash back together, something came apart and is now shorting out.
