I'm running up to the local Walmart around 11 p.m. and noticed this nice looking Civic Si in the parking lot. It was black with white Volk rims, exhaust, clear tail lights, tail fin, and definitely lowered. I'm thinking man I hope this kid walks out when I do so that I can try to lure him into a race. Well I walk out and the car is gone, oh well. Then as I'm leaving Walmart I see him and his two friends pull out of a gas station out in front of me. They turn to get onto the freeway and I gun it up behind them and then sharply pull to the side of him. I look over and hear him down shift so we are off!! I nailed it and quickly started to pull away from him and then shut it down at 120 mph when I had at least 3-4 car lengths on him. I have to say that my new Cattman SS y-pipe REALLY makes a BIG difference with my top end power band. He pulls up along side me as I slow down to 70 mph and he gets on it again, only to experience what happen to him a few seconds before. He pulls up along side me and rolls down his window and says something but I couldn't understand so he motions me to pull off to the shoulder. He pulled off and I pulled off in front of him and waved him up to my car. He asks, "How much juice are you running?" I said none but my maxima is superchargered. We popped my hood so he could take a look and his two friends come up and were just saying, "Aw man that's bad." Then his buddy walks by as I'm getting back into my car and takes a look inside at my boost gauge and says, "And it's an automatic too I can't believe it." The driver said that he couldn't figure it out at first and said, "there is no way that those maximas are that fast, that's why I thought you were running NOS. I mean your car looks totally stock, what a sleeper." He told me he had an intake, exhaust, and had some piston work done and that he was putting out about 220 hp. I told him it was fun and he replied nice race.

 

Good kill Dederik! I guess he should have spent more money on power mods and less on the clear tail lights

220 hp in a 1.6L VTEC Civic?!?! he must have done alot of work to get it there....more than he's telling you! Im sure hes planning his next mods right now.........hehehehehehehe.

 

DMAN, Good kill. I used to do the same to Honda owners all over Denver with my old SHO. I beat two diffrent Civics with turbos and Accords were not even fun. My 2k1 GLE needs some mods before I will feel comfortable challenging people. That is why I can't wait to do what you did with your auto (SC). My GLE just does not have the pull my SHO had.
