Is this worth the $$

I saw this on ebay, and figured it was a regular intake kit with the K&N filter(nothing too special). Does this sound safe? It's in my price range so I figured I'd ask the professionals

It looks like a pop charger to me, so it should be fine.

That looks like a Stillen Hi-Flow Intake without the bracket that holds it up. Check out my Homepage for some pics of it installed.

I like the look of that intake - pretty simple. The price is right too!

How does it attach?

All you need to do is remove the stock intake box and place the cone filter over the existing intake tube and then clamp it on. It should come w/ detailed instructions and a search here will give you even more ideas.

Good news for me, thanks Also, how do you guys think this setup is going to sound?? Is it going to sound like stock till I get the revs up there and then loud, or am I going to hear alittle something down low as well? I kinda wanted to hear it at all speeds, you know the hiss of the intake opening haha. Thanks again for the help guys...

I have this setup an love it. It sounds stock all around until WOT and then you hear a mean growl. You will hear that hiss every once in awhile but not enough to where it will annoy you. I definitely give it a thumbs up especially for that price.

I had this before and it was OK. Basically it is a large K&N cone filter with a MAF adaptor. However there is not hanger. This is not a problem if you are creative.

I have to ask, are you looking for performance? Or are you looking for a little sound?

If all you care about it a little growl with a minimal performace gain, then go with this. However if you can tolerate something slightly louder, then go with a Frankencar. The frankencar will give you more HP, and better throttle response.

I would like some performance gains as well as sound. I just found an Injen CAI at www.adventon.com for $214-220. Decisions decisions.

That K&N seems like a deal but after reading posts about the over-sensitive MAF I don't want to have to deal with it!

With the dry-type filters do those have to be replaced?

How often approximately? What kinda $$$ we talkin each time?

K & N drop in filter

I just purchased this same intake a couple of days ago. The only thing is is that he didn't include any instructions with it. I've got it installed and performance wise it is as others have described. The only problem I'm having is trying to figure out how to support the filter up with the supplied bar. If you decide to get it make sure he includes instructions. And if anyone can help me with the installation of this bar, it would be greatly appreciated.
