Integrated Tape and CD in a "Non-Bose" 2k2 ???
I'm trying to install the XM Delphi SKYFi in my 2K2 and I wanted to run the cables through the coin/ash tray and then tap/splice into the audio feeds for my "Non-Bose" stereo. I've taken the stereo out and there are no auxillary inputs. It looks as though the tape and CD player are all integrated into one HU. Am I understanding this correctly?
I am asking this because I never use my cassette player and "tape cartridge adapter" that comes with the Delphi looks tacky going through the tape player. Is there a way to run the cable from the receiver and have it "take the place" of the tape player, or is everything integrated on one board? If it is the former, how and where can I tap in? If it is the latter, any suggestions or do I just need to keep the "tape adapter?"
I posted this on the Audio section and am not getting much feedback.
NOTE: I'm trying to stay away from a FM modulator. I want the wiring to be "behind the scenes" and don't like the modulator.
