Just wondering if anyone has used this kit, compared to the Xpel. It also comes with "End Caps", not sure what those are for.

I have alot of experience with X-Pel. In fact, I installed the X-Pel hood piece on my Max this morning.
The end caps are to cover the front corners of the fenders. X-Pel doesn't have end caps for the Max which I found strange. I have the X-Pel on my WRX and it had end caps, and also I had it on my former SpecV and it had them too. Although, I sort of understand... with the way the Max is designed, I'm not sure the end caps will really do very much. Can't hurt though...

I'm new to these kits. I was wondering, with $250+, isn't that enough to paint the front bumper with better paint rather than protect nissan's fabulous paint? Or am I missing the point, if the paint is already chip free, then I guess this is to preserve it.
Thats pretty cheap compared to the X-Pel kit. I wouldnt try doing the bumper on your own though. The hood is cake, but it gets far more complex with some of the other pieces. And if you mess up, you are SOL. I had my SpecV professionally done for $420 which included installation on the hood, fenders, mirrors, bumper, headlights and fogs... not too bad IMO.
A worthwhile investment if you want to keep your car looking nice. With the WRX and Maxima, I decided to just do the hood as that is where the majority of the chips have had a tendency to occur on my past rides... $100 and 20 minutes for the install.

I have the xpel on my hood. I've had it for a year. Don't have the fender caps or the bumber protection. The fenders are chip free so I don't see much advantage for the fender caps. Bumper protection is expensive and it wouldn't have helped in my case. Someone in a parking lot hit my bumper (I think it was a trailer hitch) and punctured my bumper. Would have gone thru the xpel imo. Also, my bumper doen't have many chips. Just my .02

The material is very thin and is meant to protect the paint from chips and dings...
How easy is the install on just the hood? I have the magnetbra now and would like to switch over. Another question on this topic. If I get the clear bra, what do I do about waxing, polishing, ect? I use Klasse twins now. Do I just ignore that area, or can I wax/polish over it? I definitely need some info on that area.
