Protectant for Black Pieces around Windows
Protectant for Black Pieces around Windows
What do you guys recommend to keep the black pieces around the window (on the outside) looking good. I know in my earlier Maximas these pieces always dulled and looked like they had Mildew on them. The advice I was given then was that I should have used protectant earlier. So, now I'm asking the question what do you use?

I purchased it several years ago, I don't remember what I paid. I don't see it being more than $10-15. To apply you put a small amount on a rag and lightly rub the weather stripping or othe black trim with it. Then leave in the sun for a while and your done.
It does a great job of cleaning up buffer and wax damage also. The bottle I have should last for many more years as you just need a little on the rag.
Well after doing a search on Yahoo (results) it looks like the company was sold and a change has been made to the formula and packaging. This is what I use here I have no idea what changes have been made but there are several people that carry it from the info of the search.
I hope this helps.

Back to Black
Mother's Back to Black works pretty good.
The only thing that will take the wax off the plastic after a good application.
Make sure you follow the directions and WIPE-OFF the excess after applying -- this stuff will drip, smear, and marr the paint finish!!
