What color is my Maxima?
What color is my Maxima?
I am a proud owner of a 2002 Maxima SE that I bought used a couple of weeks ago, but I have a problem. I can't tell what color it is (not because it's too dirty). It is a shade of silver. The problem is that Nissan makes three shades of silver Maximas. I can't tell if my car is Sterling Mist, Polished Titanium, or Sheer Silver. I believe it is one of the first two colors. How do I find out. Is the name of the exterior color printed somewhere on the car? Is there any way to distinguish between the three silver colored Maximas wihout knowing the name. One of the reasons I want to know is that I want to buy and keep touch up paint handy to gloss over any paint chips I may get. Help me out here guys.
Re: What color is my Maxima?
The actual vehicle color is coded in your VIN. There was a site where it help decode your vin and you may find it under a search. Besides, you dont have to worry about the right touch up since at most dealers they ask you to bring your registration so they can get the right color for you. Just to avoid those little mishaps.
