I pulled my RE92's off a month after I got the car - put on Pilot Sport A/S. I got 28K on them before they got hard, too - they never hydroplaned, but turning in the wet got to be a little nerve-wracking the last couple thousand miles.

I've heard lots of good things about the Michelin Pilot Sports, but quite a few people have complained about tire noise with them... For such an expensive tire I'd expect a little more... Falken 512's I hear are nice and cheaper... I'm looking at Falken 451's myself... They are uniseason unlike the 512s and are supposed to be gripier and quiter... plus only $15 more per tire i think its worth it...
