Which of these are better. I've heard that the MAFs on the 2k2s are really poor, and I've also heard (and experienced) that the MAFs on the 2k1s are not great either. Which one is better?

 

2003 are superior to ANY maf in ANY maxima.

Ok, to self-answer my question:

I just called Dave Burnette (DaveB) and he said that he believed the 00-01 MAF to be better than the 02-03.

 

there have been less failures with 2k-2k1 but the 2k2 has the air temp sensor integrated in the maf. the 2k-2k1 have a seperate sensor. everyone that im aware with a 2k2 that put a 2k-2k1 maf on has gotten a check engine light, maybe because of the air temp sensor. i would check to see if the 2k3 have a different part number than a 2k2 and i would try that one over the 2k because its bound to be the same desgin wise but hopefully without the same problems.
