Just saw $2.07 for a gallon of Shell Premium
Just saw $2.07 for a gallon of Shell Premium
Admittedly, a new and lonely (no competition close by) station in a high-zoot area but still...this same station had premium at $1.96 a gallon just 10 days ago....sheesh!

my spring break is coming up. i hope the gas at home in Northern VA isnt as high as that.
Guys, get the Shell Mastercard. 10% rebate gas for 60 days and 5% rebate thereafter along with 1% rebate on everything else. If you fill up 9 times a year there is no annual fee. The interest rate is high, but if you pay it off each month like you're supposed to, the high interest rate doesn't matter.
10% off at $2 is 20 cents a gallon! Not too bad!

gas is still around 1.65 to 180 around here, but i've heard its doin nothin but raising. damn - shoulda kept the ol' 4-banger for a lil while longer... well... nah, i love my Max! winter needs to end tho, my mileage sucks
I was actually going to use 89 octane today...but i paid 7 cents more for 93.
I went to BP (Amaco) and paid $1.74 9/10
note: this is with full service too since that's all we have in NJ....so I didnt have to to go out in the 29 degree weather.

all you got to do is contact your congressman he-he the fuel prices are going up, if they let 'em high enough, this is going to kill the economy.
it sucks to have a V6 at this time. Premium gas is 1.85 in MD.

I drove to LAX to drop off my uncle from San Diego, I pumped Premium at $2.29 a gallon. Regular unleaded was $2.03. Localy here in San Diego, Im paying about 1.95 for premium. Lets all bend over , spread our cheeks and let the oil companies have their way with us
!
!
my gas station in front of my house is $1.88 a gallon for 93. this is in the suburbs of chicago. i heard that if we go to war, the gas will rise up to $2.50 a gallon. but if it hits $3 a gallon then we will have questions. i duno thats what it said in the newspapers. hehe
Just filled up in Southern Cali in Torrance and went to Union 76 and what a dang shock I had, nearly had a cow!!! It cost me $28 to fill this damn thing up on 91. Its WAY out of hand at this point.

I remember when gas was 89 cents a gallon (octane 87)
We used to get this octane because we had a 4 banger before this car and the engine really didn't require 89 or 93. My dad used to say 1.25 is not worth it for premium. Now he doesnt even think twice when he sees a gas station with 1.50 for 87 (for the other car)

Rising gas prices -> Start war in middle east -> Gas prices fall
Cost: xxxx number of soldiers dead and World War 3
Rising gas prices should result in a more conscious consumer for fuel efficient vehicles, but instead most of the people here simply want to hold onto their SUVs (not here here obviosuly, but you know what I mean). Don't be fooled, this war is for oil, not weapons violations. I'm not going to go into a political tyraid here, but I've always felt that if you aren't willing to pay the price for gas, get a more efficient car, just like in the early 70s when there was the energy crisis. And we actually still have gas for pretty cheap, I mean we could have European prices, but we don't, be grateful.

Im sure all the people risking their lives for your " OIL " would love to read your post..
It drives me crazy when people go on about "No blood for oil" and "give peace a chance". Sometime I wish Iraq would be stupid enough to use chemical/biological weapons, or even worse, nuclear weapons. Then you bleeding-heart liberals would open up your eyes. Did you ever stop and think that maybe the US government knows something you don't about what Iraq is doing?
I agree with Galo. I am a Republican, but lately I have found myself questioning that. I just don't agree with a lot of what is going on here. The fact that so many other countries don't believe war is necessary might be a sign that we should think a little harder. The media is merging two questions here. Does Iraq have weapons of mass destruction and if they do is war neccesary? It seems that the war is necessary is the natural conclusion if the first is answered yes, I'm not so sure.
Finally, I am not trying to start a flame war here. Yes this is a Maxima forum, my point before was that we shouldn't complain about gas prices. There are alternatives, ie. compact car, etc. I think most Americans take for granted how well we have things. For all intensive purposes, US gas prices are still cheap compared to Europe. We should be grateful, not necessarily happy.
You began this "political tyraid" when you mentioned: "Cost: xxxx number of soldiers dead and World War 3"..."Don't be fooled, this war is for oil, not weapons violations." If you didn't want to get flamed you should not have brought your personel political agenda into this. As far as you being concerned, I thank you, I'm joining the Navy to hopefully get into their NUPOC (NUclear Power Officer Candidate) program next year. So I will be defending you from possible attack with weapons of mass destruction in the future, so therefore I am not selfish. As far as our government sharing information with us, maybe if they disclosed this information to the public (and the world) they would compromise the source of the information? Some things are better left unsaid for the safety of our intelligence agents in the field. Our elected political leaders' agenda is YOUR agenda, you vote don't you? As far as the other governments opposing this, you need to do more research, France has a multi-billion dollar deal with Iraq for their oil (The majority of French power is nuclear, so obviously they lack sources of oil for their cars) they don't want to support the war for their own oil needs.
