Hmm....not THAT bad of a price if the gains are enough. I wonder if there are dyno numbers for it.

Already have a Y...why bother with a 50 shot, when you can get headers for cheaper and have the performance all the time?

Generally, the ide of headers would replace everything up to the cat, thus replacing your Y. Cattman's new headers (may be in prod) replace the Y altogether so keep that in mind. The gains over just the Y aren't huge.

um have u noticed how impossible it is to get to the head of the
00-01's, recently heard stillen made a trial header for 01 and it dynoed to a 3 hp gain. funny cause custom maxima had headers for their soon to come list along with turbo for 4th and 5th gen and then all of a sudden headers dissapeared. i eamailed greg about this but it seems u cant get a hold of him, but when u buy a product he responds in a heartbeat, lol anyway if im wrong or someone disagrees jus lemme know

Yes I know exactly what you mean. When I was flushing my cooling system I couldn't even get to the front bolt on the engine block because the header was in the way and well it would be a pain in the **** to remove it. There is almost no space there....BUT if it shows some gains like 10 to 15 HP or more (I know highly unlikely) then I would go for them.

Cattman had headers installed on a 97, he posted his gains on the site here. It took like 6 hours install time to get it all on, got about 18hp out of the setup, couple more than just having the Y, not worth the cost and install time IMO

The REAL problem is what to do about the front pre-cat. Has anybody come up with a way to install headers on a 5th Gen (other than Fed-spec 5th Gens) that doesn't involve throwing a SES light or relocating the O2 sensors?

I can get around that problem and am a Cattman dealer. He hasn't released the headers yet though but we'll be doing the modification here before sending them out to our customers as soon as they are released.

Do you mind telling us what Cattman has in mind to "get around that problem"? Does it involve relocating the O2 sensors a la Desert Pearl's Cali-spec to Fed-spec mod?
