RSB impressions

A week after my RSB was delivered, I finally got it installed. After comparing install how-tos, I finally got up the nerve to do the job. No real issues during the install, except bolting the ends of the bar to the frame were a PITA due to the way everything didn't quite come together very closely. I had to squeeze the bar closer, then run the bolt through the saddle, bracket, then get the washer and lock nut onto it, all the while the bar is trying to get away from me! I didn't seem to have the issues with the brake lines other people have mentioned. After road testing, the difference is breathtaking. The body roll is very minimal now, and the rear end seems to be "tighter". Well worth the money spent.

Yea the side U bolts are just a PITA to get on. They dont ever seem to make them a clean install after all the people who have complained about it.

RSB == Rear Sway Bar
PITA == Pain In The ***

Be sure to check the bolts in a week or so, things tend to 'settle' into place (i.e. bend). Take it easy around the corners at first, you might be used to a lot of understeer that won't be there.

A little note: I noticed in stock form I could better judge how close to the limit the car was; with the RSB there is kind of just this thin line. On one side of the line the car is driving like a dream, push just slightly harder and it slips out on you! Personally I thought the RSB was the best suspension upgrade. Replace those springs and struts (at least springs) and the car has a whole new personality.

When I sold my 2k2 (for a 300ZX TT) I got a chance to drive it around in stock form after removing my springs, struts, RSB, FSTB, and RSTB. I nearly killed myself to say the least. I kind of forgot how the stock car handled!

Enjoy!

I second that.
Also, this is the best mod I made - it just leveled the car very
nicely. The car now stays level and just slingshots out of the turn
(However, it did cost me two speeding tickets, as I was testing
it, with a cop sitting behind one of these turns ... ).

I got both (FSB and RSwayB) from Stillen. I think I payed about $150
or max $200 for each. I would check around for prices, and see what
you can get.

Honestly the front bar is all the same...just depends on what look and how much your willing to spend. The rears are performance wise pretty much the same as well except the Stillen boltts on with clamps on each side and the Progress (cattman) bolts on with U bolts.

I have a question regarding the SFC's...just how important is this mod??? Will it have a drastic effect in addition to the RSB??? Just wondering if this mod is worth the price. Input/experience posts would be great info for a novice such as myself....

Definately worth the money! You know when a new car is introduced, most manufacture would make claimed on how rigid/improved torsional rigidity of their new unibody/structure. The SFC's does that since it braces the underbody of the car which stiffen the structure significantly. It acts as a reinforcement to the original subframes. All of this bracings will improve handling/rides/and reduce road noises and interior rattles. For normal daily driving, you probably don't need it. But if you want your car to ride and handle better, you can't go wrong with this mods. Usually, the is a popular mods for autocrossing.

IMHO, it is the best mod for the suspension that I've encountered so far. I have posted several threads regards to my experience w/them installed. Do a search under "SFC" and judge for yourself.
