02 Seat Heater Install ?

Does anyone know if the Seat Heater with the rectangular shaped switch that LeatherSeats.com sells will fit the 'cut-out' on an 02 Max? I called Eric who said it looked as if it might.

Thanks

Did you guys discuss measurements or just eye-ball it?

you can buy the factory switches from your FNND or a junkyard. the wiring is already there, under your console and under the seats. there's even a fuse in the circuit (at least in mine).

just plug the switches into the harnesses under the console, and then wire your heaters into the harnesses that are under the seats - might have to cut off the harnesses under the seats and hardwire them into the heater kit. AFAIY, the kit's switches are too square for the factory switch holes. a little bit of black plastic and a dremel could probably fix this, tho.

I don't think those switches will fit too well. Besides, I think leatherseats.com gets theirs from Katskin and those are the ones I got, and they don't ship the rectangular buttons anymore (or so says Katskin). I used the factory switches.

I wrote about the install here about 7th post down.

If they aren't the same carbon-fiber seat heaters, then the install might be easier. Good luck.
