High Performance Summer or High Perfromance All-Season

Anyone out there got any recommednations for tire type for Dallas-Fort Worth area?

By tire type I mean High-Performance, Ultra HP, HP All-Season etc.

I've looked at all kinds and read as many posts on the .org as I could take.

Primarily I was wondering if anyone buys all-season tires for this area or if they just don't worry about the rare snow/ice events we get.

I considered High-Perfromance tires, but then I thought maybe some of the high-performance all-season tires might be worth it for those rare occassions.

I'm currently still nursing my OEM Toyos at 35K miles.

As a side question - I've seen lots of complaints about the RE92s and on tire rck they get poor ratings, but it appears RE950s rate much better - any experiences

It was pretty dry there when I was visiting. I think you can get away with a nice soft tire... traction won't be a problem. I don't think you need Z rated tires, the max can't even go 160 anyhow ..
