2000 Maxima SE Dash Part change holder
2000 Maxima SE Dash Part change holder
It became necassary for me to take the change holder/ashtray out of my max. What i didnt know was when i replaced it was that I broke what appears to be nothing more the a little friction bar on the underside. All it does is rub on the underside of the ashtray to keep it in place.this little fiction thing even has a tiny srew to remore/replace this part as if breaking it was an anticipated thing. I went to my local dealer were i was met by two guys in white coats who looked more like German V2 scientists then parts guys. I took one of the genius by the hand out to my car and he couldn't tell me anything????? we went back in and looked at the scematic and he couldnt even find the part listed. I know one thing im not the 1st to break this piece!!!! Went to another dealer were the guy looked like he was in the Lee Myles commercial where the man says"allways wanted to fix a transmision" He was of know help. If anyone could offer a bit of advise(no cinisism please) I would be beholding
1. Lee Myles commercials are locally produced in each market, so noone is going to know what you are talking about (unless it's relatively old).
2. You will need to replace the entire console. Call DaveB at Town North Nissan. 1-800-251-7278. If it exists, he will find it....and cheap too.
