Wrote off my 2k2, just PICKED up my chrome silver 2k3

Hey guys..

I finally got my replacement!! 2003 Nissan Maxima SE 6speed CHROME SILVER..

I dont know there feels a difference from my 2k2, like the shifter is a bit smoother... but probably becuase it had 25 kms on the ODO..

FINALLY, i can install my APEXi intake!! YES!!!..

BTW.. my god, i really forgot how $hitty that BOSE audio system was... IT REALLY SUCKS... coming from me having my 1000w system before..

Anyhow, just decided to drop you guys a line..

Sorry greek, I had to pull that.

Ed, do you hear that? its the sound of 50 keyboards about to rip you a new one for going out and getting another maxima after ragging your 2k2.

No personal attacks. period. Keep it civil.

Chrome Silver

I've heard of Titanium and Sheer Silver but not Chrome Silver. The Titanium is the rarest color on the org. I haven't seen anyone with it.

I have a Titanium max. Best color out there, It is very metalic. When I Got my 2003, there was a Chrome silver and a Titanium right beside each other. Of course i picked the Titanium, mostly because the Chrome silver had a blond interior I did not like it. Can you get Black interior with the chrome silver?

What the....???

Ok - I'm surprised as well.

Did you take advantage of the LEMON-LAW or what??
Curious to know how that whole thing played-out.....?

Didn't know you had finally given-up on the 2k2.....but I know I was tired of hearing you complain about it!!!

Seriously - I wish you better luck on the 2k3.
Welcome back!

You think the BOSE(Based On ****y Equipment) is bad, try the non-Bose system. In one word, HORRIBLE. That's my first mod.

I'm on my second max with the non-bose system. On the 2k2, the stock speakers didnt last more than 1 week before they were replaced.

You're not kiddin. I got one. It took eight trips to different dealerships just to find one on the lot so I could see what it looked in person. As soon as I saw it...it was the one. My second choice was the Sheer. The one cool thing about the Polished Titanium is at night under the lights the metallic really glows.

Alpine SR-176(something like that) components, Kicker 8 inch mid-bass drivers on the way. Waiting for the 2K3 Alpine HU and 2K3 Audiomobile MASS 2412.
The system is so bad, I stop buyin' CDs until I replace it, except of course the 50 Cent CD

Nice! I have the CD too. I cant wait until I install my 2 Infinity Kappa 12.1's. The CD should be 100 times better then.

the non-bose is not bad for stock though you have to admit. i mean keep the bass at -1 or -2 and the treble at +3 or +4 and its good for stock. nothing compared to my old polk audios though.

The stock system gets no props. Most bass lines are completely missing. And don't give it any volume, the muddle effect is unbearable. If you listen to mostly rap and dancehall reggae like I do you should understand my pain. I resolve myself to listening to vocals, and try to drain out the awful attempt to reproduce bass in the stock system.

My father on the other hand loves his BOSE system in his Altima and brags about his bass. I laugh, that's not bass.

Oh by the way, I just got the 8 inch Kickers. They look beautiful. I'm tryin' to figure out where to put them(doors vs kickpanels)...

I agree. For people who don't need other people outside their car to hear what they're listening to, the stock system works just fine. Marley sounds great on my speakers.

Congrats...and nice of you to find one like that...just like what I was hoping for but could not ever locate an 03 Te 6 speed in Polished Titanium or Sheer Silver anywhere in So Cal...I tried many dealers and online search and locators...no luck...so I boosted my 4th gen and decide to keep it a while more...best of luck to you.

BAD NEWS!!

IN my haste, i installed my frankencar APEXi intake today (i picked up my car last night)..

WEll I broke the MAF bolt and the bolt that holds the filter (on the strut tower)..

I was ****ing my pants... BUt MAN the intake Is AWESOME>.. GOD DAMN i know i am in break in period but i had to do some bursts of acceleration (few timeS)... ITS IMMACULATE..

I am debating whether i should through in my old system again from my 2k2... Nathan what do you think..

I ordered the new bolts, however the one at the strut housing is broken and needs to be drill out..

The FRANKENCAR Intake instructions are really vague... Photos to come

BTW>. I have my tint appointment next tuesday... THen clears on order then debating about my system.. But the real mod is coming SOON...in 5 months (i got exams up until then)..

YEs i had MANY problems iwth my 2k2, and my 2k3 is not much different (still hard to shift the damn 6speed, and there is still throttle lag, plus the ever famous HAZING on the headlights.. ) but for the price i paid, i can't complain... I told you i hated the quirks on the maxima, but for the bang for the buck factor, MAXIMA It is..

Plus i wanted to save lots of money over hte g35..
