Grill Tech lower valence

Does anyone have a black insert? I want to know how it's holding up. Any chips, rust?

I have the silver inserts, I bought them last summer and my are rusting as we speak. The supposedly are powder coated, but I cant see how they are if they are in fact rusting. I am going to get them powder coated again in the spring.

Thanks for the reply. I like a black look, but if it's gonna rust and chip, i'm sticking with SS aluminum.

Instead of grille-tech, I just spent 5 bucks for the gutter guards, another 3 for a spraycan of gloss black rustoleum paint, and painted and ziptied the mesh behind the plastic trim inside the valence. Does the trick for me, which is just some protection for my radiator.

Same here. I was pi**ed!! Emailed Grille Tech and cause they are more than 3 months old, or whatever, they said they can't do anything. I'll be removing them and refinisheng them this spring.

I have the black Grill Tech. Had it for almost a year and there is no rust or discoloration.

Same here, I have a black insert with no rust and no problems. Go with the black inserts. Check my page for pics.

I have the silver inserts and mine are starting to rust now too...or at least discolor. I haven't looked at em real close. Perhaps it has something to do with living in Seattle with a ton of rain.
Kinda lame though, they should have done a better job.
