Hey guys,

I have a customized led scanner that is built in the plastic piece that the clock is in. I am making these with 7 VARAD leds. Is is very bright which you can see directly out of your front windshield. If you are intrested, I only have one left as of right now. I will be willing to sell it. I used white leds for this install, they look like a blue in color because the leds are so bright. THese scanner are for 2002-2003 Maximas. Not sure about 2000 and up.

This is 7 leds that are place on the front of the clock and they scan back and forth. They look factory because it is a custom job and they are inside the clock.

 

you mean like the Knight Rider car? Do they actually do anything besides scroll left/right?

 

Does a LED scanner suppose to do anything else besides scan left and right? lol

do you expect it to shoot out laser like Knight Rider?

I'm just trying to figure out what this does? I wasn't sure if 'scanner' meant 'scanner for cop radio' or something. If it's just blinking lights...

 

 

Usually it is wired to your alarm so you can visibly see from farther away that your car is armed. The tiny red LED doesn't really do much.
