2000+ Custom Trunk Sub Box

hey shift_ers just talked my cuz into bying 2001 SE with weird package it has heated cloth seats ....anyway...Kustom-Fibe Enclosures started building fiberglass enclosure for 2 15"s he has laying around...it will look something like in the link below but it will be faced towards the cabin (not towards the trunk/back) since 2000+ has seats that fold down (mine doesnt )

sorry for mumbling on and on....if anyone wants to get one of these or 2 for both sides let me know, im kinda working as sales person for them and since they have "mold" for 5th generation it will go easier for them. Any design, any location of the sub, any color or carpet(not good), 5th generation subwoofer enclosures will be available for custom order...shipping is cheap since box weights 10-15lb. for those who are concerned about weight in their car...PLUS box is easily REMOVABLE...disconnect 2 wires and it just slides out.

i have sold my used enclosure (first ever made for i30)to a now happy new owner on this forum, hopefully he will post his pics in a near future...YOU WILL BE HAPPY WITH A PURCHASE TOO...

Questions...email me at RollingInI30@aol.com

I'd definitely be interested in one for a 10".. How's the box sound though? Will it sound good with like a JL W6v2? Will that even fit?

I am not trying to deter anyone from buying these boxes, because they are time consuming to make and worth the money, however don't think that you could buy a box and stick any sub in there. Make sure the sub will respond good to the enclosure (check specs for ft^3). If the Enclosure is 1.75ft^3 and your sub is speced for 1 ft^3, and you just spend $300 on the sub, it probably would not sound any better than a radio shack $50 sub.

since this enclosure was for infiniti they have a little deeper sides and that this design is "sticking out" the volume of this one was 1.4ft^3

but for smaller subs we try to make them look like sink hole to match the volume perfect and for larger subs make it stick out which also helps in instaling sub with bigger magnes and longer cones...

but with bigger subs they also take away from volume space so to match stats-up we stuff enclosures

just my .02... I would get a box built to the specifications of the speaker you want... believe it or not, that box can make or break your sound.

Curious how would that sound, if I installed two subs (12"'s) one in each corner?
