I finally got a chance to install my most recent buy of the PIAA bulbs, and I have to say the PIAA Super Plasmas are fugly. I mean it. I thought thye would be better than what they were, but theyre more purple than blue!!!! anybody else recognise this? Im taking them back tomorrow, any suggestions on a set of PIAA's that will fit my taste?

thanx

yes i checked out all the pics, and constantly looked back and forth at yours, but they seemed bright white, definately not purple. im gonna trade them in for some Plasma FX bulbs. they are the blue tint.

P.S. no disrespect to those who already have them, Im just not a purple kinda guy, lol

Wow, they really look purple? I'm glad I know now. I too want the blue effect. Piaa platinum's will do this efficiently?

I've seen the Plasma FX bulbs... they are a lower temp rating than the Plasmas, which should make them more blue because of the ROYGBIV thingy.

Also, the light output for those are lower than the Plasmas. I was going to buy a pair and try them out when I was in Hong Kong, but decided not to because of the lower color range and output.

...just wanted to give you a heads up before you buy the new set.

talking bout PLASMAs

I am the most frugal person out there. SO i was curious, does anyone know where i could get the PIAA PLASMA's for cheaper than 70 dollars. I am in the NY/NJ area, maybe there is a shop, or even an online store. Carparts.com doesn't carry them anymore.

WEll i just want them for dirt cheap. Right now i am driving round with 1 stock headlight and 1 piaa platinum. FUGLY!!

Re: Re: talking bout PLASMAs

well people are telling it burnt out because of the cold extreme weather. Regardless, it blew and now i am driving round with 1 stock , 1 platinum.
But it is all good, now i have motivation to get a job and buy alot of stuff for my car, starting with PLASMAs.
But anyway, who knows where can i get PLASMAs for under 70 dollars. any deals out there?

Roger

Well, The FX bulbs may be dimmer because of color, but they are rated at 5000K just as the super plasma's are rated at 5000K, I just prefer the blue look to purple.

ATTN radpp16!!!! If i cant get the dealer to take back my bulbs, ill sell them to you for 70 dollars. ill let ya know!

I think the color temp rating I saw was 4750... but I'm 99.99% sure it is lower. I don't remember what the URL of the site that had the FX bulbs (with pictures)...
