Block Heater

So I go out the other night to plug in my 2000 SE because its been sitting in the driveway for about 48 hours now without being started, and we went into a deep freeze after the snowstorm... The car is only a month old (for me) and I haven't needed to plug it in until now....

i open the hood.... And 15 minutes later I'm back in the house and the car isn't plugged in...

My question is... where is the block heater cord...

Don't tell me Nissan's flagship lux sedan doesn't have a friggin block heater!!! You'd think at LEAST the ones exported to Canada would have one for sure!!

Anyone know where to order a block heater from. I'm in Chicago and this would be VERY useful...

Block heaters are almost generic parts... I'm sure all the Nissan frost plugs are the same size... its the install thats expensive... All some dumbass mechanic has to do is accidently pop the frost plug or part of it depending on how difficult it is to remove into the oil resevoir and your screwed...

Is this true for Canada? I don't know about 2000s, but I know for sure that on 2002s from Canada, a block heater is standard.

On my 2k2 maxima in Canada, all the models came standard with block heaters. For 4th gens in Canada, they were optional.

The temperature in Toronto, Canada doesnt even get cold enough for there to be a need for block heaters, but from time to time it does get pretty cold.
